USING A TAGGING GUN?

Please put the tags through the size tag on the item or through a seam to avoid putting holes in the garmet.

NOTE! AT DROP-OFF INSPECTION, ANY INCONSISTENCIES WILL HAVE TO BE RE-DONE BY YOU.

Please pay careful attention to your consignor number. Be sure not to transpose your numbers. We cannot accept any items that have crossouts or scribbles on the tags. If you need to change something on a tag after you have it on the item, you must make a brand new tag for that item.

 Pricing

YOU SET THE PRICE!  JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS suggests starting at 1/3 of the original price. We also suggest that you let your clothing items be included in the half price sale. Mark the starting price up if it is something that you are sentimental about, but of course, it is your decision if it is half price or not. Price your items in $1.00 or .50 cent increments. No $0.99, $0.75, or $0.25 please.

$3.00 Rule if your single, hanging clothing item can't bring $3.00 on it's own, please pair it with something that will bring it to this amount.  JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS will be conducting strict inspection of your items. Unacceptable items will be returned to you.

  • Use safety pins or a tagging gun to attach your tags. No straight pins.
  • Attach safety pin horizontally, on the card.
  • Pin clothing sets securely together with pants hung on the backside of the shirt and pinned at the waist on the hanger, so both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them.
  • PLEASE do not use two hangers rubberbanded together for one sale item.

Use your best judgment, and price your items higher or lower where you see fit.

You are in control of your pricing!

Spending a little extra time getting your items ready will mean more money $$$ for you. Items that are clean, ironed, with all pieces attached, sell much better!!

Simple Barcode Tag Instructions

 barcoded_tag.jpg

1. Log on to www.myjbftags.com
2. Create an account (make sure to update the USER PROFILE to show Sacramento, CA as the sale location)
3. Click on help/demos on the left for instructions.
4. Enter tags.
5. Print tags (Use Print Alternate option for 6 tags per page).  Please use white cardstock or 65lb or heavier paper
6. Track your sales online. Print a sales report for your records.
7. After the sale, remember to delete SOLD items and DONATED items.

If you are tagging multi-piece items please follow this procedure:

Print ONE bar-coded tag with the price and all the information.  On that ONE barcoded tag, in the description add in 1 of X (with X being the total number of pieces in the multi-piece set).

HAND WRITE additional tags for your set (on 3x5 index cards).  2 of X, 3 of X etc.  ONLY THE FIRST TAG (the one with the barcode) should have a price on it.  The remaining tags to the set only need the product description, your consignor number and 2 of x, 3 of x etc.  No prices on the second or third tags.

This applies to NON-CLOTHING items only.  For clothes, you'll just pin them together on the hanger and won't need to make multiple tags.
